Why Me?

My name is Stacy Sechrist and I have a 25+ year career in the mental health and wellness field as a teacher/trainer, licensure supervisor, program developer, entrepreneur, nonprofit executive, trained life coach and provider of mental health therapy as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. My entire career has been focused on helping people improve relationships and their lives.

George Lucas, the filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and editor for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones film franchises, once said, "We are all living in cages with the door wide open." This quote embodies and underpins my belief system, my career and how I live. I know our lives offer so many more opportunities for joy and individual freedom than we often can see, but to take advantage of that life, we must be willing to make change within ourselves.

Feeling stuck in the cage but knowing I had the power to crawl out, my life has been devoted to learning how. Starting a self-directed journey of healing at the age of 19, already having a 2 year-old son, it wasn't until I found hypnotherapy that I truly felt free and began to live a life of my choosing. During my journey to that point, I realized that the way we live between sessions is just as important as the sessions themselves. The daily choices, habits, and mindset shifts are what truly anchor and sustain the work we do together. I decided I wanted to add Hypnotherapy as one of the tools I could use to help others reach their goals faster-releasing what holds them back so they can live free and fully. I am down-to-earth, straightforward, and practical. I come to every interaction genuine, authentic and caring from the deepest parts of my heart and mind. I believe foundations of healing are increasing self awareness, learning to trust ourselves, being able to set boundaries and being accountable.

I grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Florida with my family when I was in my mid-thirties. I love quotes, podcasts, gardening, yoga, meditation, and fiction media. I also love being in the woods, hiking in the mountains, soaking in the sun, watching sunrises on the beach and relaxing in my house with my family. As a mother of 3 adults, 2 Rottweilers and a Siamese cat, and as a wife, friend, and daughter, I have great capacity for love and nurturing, mixed with support and accountability, to help faciliate growth and forward momentum.

What to Expect In Sessions

Your first session is all about your goals, your challenges, and what you truly want to shift in your life. We’ll talk through the process, answer your questions, and begin creating the foundation for meaningful change. Just as important, this first meeting is where we start building the trust and safety that make real transformation possible. In your first or 2nd session, you’ll also receive a personalized recording to use between sessions—so your progress continues well beyond our time together.

From there, each session becomes part of your journey forward. We’ll begin with a check-in to see where you are, followed by techniques and practices designed to meet you right in the moment. I often guide clients through a grounding or centering exercise at the start, so you can leave the outside world at the door and step fully into the experience that will move you closer to your goals.

If we are using the tool of hypnotherapy, you’ll be guided through a process that relaxes your conscious mind so we can access the deeper patterns, beliefs, and emotions that have been shaping your life. Together, we’ll release what no longer serves you and strengthen what supports your growth.

Every step of the way, we focus not only on where you’re going, but on how you get there—because the journey itself is what allows change to last.
